Localized fat can persist despite diet and exercise. Fat cells in the upper layer closer to the skin enlarge in the hypodermis and push the dermis and epidermis layers against fibrous connective tissue. Fat cells can also become enlarged in the deeper layers of skin, creating unsightly bulges that affect the body's contour and shape. This is most apparent in the abdomen, flanks, thighs and arms.

The TriPollar Procedure for Body Contouring and Circumference Reduction

	1. TriPollar® RF energy simultaneously and homogenously heats the superficial and subcutaneous skin layers, heating fat cells and collagen fibres in the dermis.

	2. Heating of the fat cells within the dermis increases cell metabolism and results in the release of fatty acids. The fatty acids are than removed through the body's lymphatic system.

	3. Localized heating immediately shrinks the fat cells, contracts the collagen fibres and increases the metabolism of the fibroblasts thereby accelerating the production of new collagen. After a full TriPollar treatment, the fat cells shrink and the skin tightens.
